The College launched its LifeLong Learning Program in 2005 in recognition of the importance of continuing professional development. In fact, we believe that a lifelong commitment to learning is a necessary component of quality dental practice.
The aims of the LifeLong Learning Program are:
- to encourage and support quality educational experiences for every dentist in the province;
- to have the program become an integral part of the professional life of dentists.
The LifeLong Learning Program is all about helping dentists to maximize their opportunities to learn continuously and to constantly expand their professional capacity and knowledge so that they can continue to deliver the highest quality of care to their patients.
The program focuses on a growing library of interactive computer-based learning modules that deliver education right to the dentist's home or office.
The LifeLong Learning Program is the latest development in the College's existing continuing education program that already includes roadshows, PEAK articles in every issue of the College magazine, Dispatch, and existing learning packages on topics such as privacy, recordkeeping and risk management.
