Risk Management

PLP focuses on the prevention of claims. The program staff provides risk management education to members as part of the efforts to support the legislated mandate of the College to serve and protect the public interest.

PLP staff make presentations to dental societies and other interested groups, and educate members during the course of the investigation of claims or potential claims.

Ensuring complete privacy and confidentiality is one of the cornerstones of the Professional Liability Program. That is the program’s obligation to members – it is also the law.

PLP has produced information that will assist dentists in preventing claims.
