Council and non-Council Committee Candidate Eligibility Course
Thank you for your interest in serving the College, either as a member of RCDSO’s governing Council or as a committee member, or both.
Council and non-Council committee members play a vital role in protecting patient safety and the public’s interest in Ontario. Alongside public appointees, dentist members lend their perspective and experience in order to fulfill the duties of Council and committees. To be eligible for a position, it is necessary for candidates to understand RCDSO’s role in health care regulation, as well as the responsibilities, impact and time-commitment of the role they wish to assume.
Under the College’s by-laws, it is a new eligibility requirement that all candidates for Council and non-Council committee positions successfully complete a candidate orientation which involves a review of College fundamentals of duties, obligations and expectations of these roles (materials follow) and a multiple choice exam.
This course has six sections for you to review prior to completing the exam.
