Our role is to protect the public

We are the regulatory agency for dentists in Ontario. We set education standards, produce guidelines and standards of practice, and provide a complaints and investigation process for the public.

RCDSO Council and committees

RCDSO’s governing Council is the College’s board of directors. Composed of elected dentists, members of the public and academic representatives from Ontario’s university dental faculties, this combination brings a variety of perspectives and experiences to their decisions.

We want to hear from you

We invite you to comment on new or revised by-laws, standards, guidelines or other documents. We may also ask for your comments on existing documents that are under review. Your feedback helps us assess the document and determine the issues we should consider throughout the review process, and informs policy development.

Working at the RCDSO

The RCDSO licenses and oversees nearly 10,800 dentists in the province. Our staff has a wide range of experience and expertise, with backgrounds in law, dentistry, communications, information technology and customer service. We provide employees with opportunities to achieve advancement and also to grow within their current roles.
