Canadian Dental Care Plan
The Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) continues to bring transformative change to the oral health care landscape. Now in its second year, the CDCP has become a key part of dental care delivery in Canada.
The College remains committed to supporting dentists and the public in navigating the CDCP. This includes providing up-to-date information about the enrollment process, preauthorization requirements and other essential elements of the plan.

Important notice: Health Canada has identified and corrected a system error affecting income calculations for some CDCP applicants. Approximately 1% of members have either been found to be ineligible for the CDCP or have been assessed at an incorrect co-payment level. Impacted individuals are being notified, and no repayment is required for dental care received before October 24, 2025. Read Health Canada’s statement for more information. |
