Effective communication is the cornerstone of a successful dental practice. This Category 1 session will examine common communication challenges that dentists encounter and how errors can affect the quality of care and patient satisfaction. Attendees will leave the session with practical strategies to strengthen their patient interactions, foster trust, and maintain ethical standards in clinical communication.

Presenters
Ahmad Mozaffari is counsel at Steinecke Maciura LeBlanc, where he practises in all areas of professional regulation. He represents regulators in complaints, investigations, and discipline proceedings and has appeared before all levels of court in Ontario. Ahmad brings a broad litigation background, including previous roles with a boutique firm and a large financial institution.
John McIntyre is a lawyer and co-founder of McIntyre Szabo PC, a boutique health law firm in Toronto. John routinely represents healthcare institutions and regulated health providers, with much of his practice supporting dentists. He also dedicates time to pro bono work at the intersection of 2SLGBTQ+ rights and healthcare. John holds a Master of Public Health from Johns Hopkins University and has worked for the last two years as an adjunct professor at Queen’s University Faculty of Law.
