The RCDSO has also been informed of incidents at COVID-19 vaccination clinics. We have been told that people identifying themselves as dentists have arrived at a clinic and demanded a second dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. There have been reports of abusive behaviour.
We are aware that these incidents involve a small minority of the profession but it reflects poorly on the profession as a whole. Dentists who have engaged in this conduct are reminded: any such behaviour could be regarded as disgraceful, dishonourable, unprofessional or unethical conduct and result in significant disciplinary action.
