Rescinding the College's COVID-19 guidance: further information and resources

On July 19, 2023, the College notified the profession that the COVID-19-specific guidance was rescinded. The College received a number of calls and emails requesting clarification and has prepared and revised the resources below to help address your questions.

Dentists still have responsibilities with respect to COVID-19 and must ensure their practice meets Ontario’s standards for Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC).

These ongoing responsibilities can broadly be categorized as follows:  

• Responsibilities based in routine practices and the College’s Standard of Practice on Infection Prevention and Control in the Dental Office.
• Responsibilities based in the ongoing COVID-19 guidance of provincial and national public health authorities.
